As an Independent Events Coordinator, I perform the following tasks:
· Research, develop, organize, and manage events for restaurants, local halls, and private residences from beginning to end
· Communicate with clients about their proposed event(s); help clients “flesh out” the details and offer suggestions as to execution of plans
· Maintain accurate accounting and vendor records
· Negotiate on behalf of clients with regards to budgets and clients’ wants
· Oversee, train and motivate contractors, volunteers and assistants to ensure a high level of performance and delivery
· Travel with potential clients and reveal spaces suitable for their events
· Review and develop standard operating systems and procedures
· Liaise between private client and vendors when conflicts would arise; create and suggest measures to limit conflicts
