The price is right. But if you can afford more, you probably should. The venue could potentially be nice, but the management doesn't seem to care and isn't very friendly in their response to any sort of concern you may have especially once they get your money. Chipped paint, scuffed walls, torn wall paper and left over staples in the walls--its all there. Even a bit of touch up paint and a little care would go a long way in making the site more enticing. It could definitely use some updating--seems like its been a while. The color scheme isn't very appealing and it all feels a bit shabby. The taupe carpet just seems dirty even though they claim it gets cleaned every Monday after an event. It could definitely use a stretch job at the very least. Promises from the 'staff' at the MUD office are made before you sign the contract...afterward, they don't have any idea who you are and couldn't care less. They have your money, and that's really their only concern. Good luck trying to get in there for anything other than just a peek. If you need to take vendors, or make measurements, you will get the run around trying to find a time that is 'convenient' for them to let you use the key. And hopefully you can take time off from work at the drop of a hat, because they don't work weekends and they leave most days at 4 or 4:30. And whatever you do above all else, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT using Linda Gilpin who they recommend to everyone for tablecloth rentals. She ripped me off $600. Just go get your own tablecloths at one of the party rental places in Houston--cuz that is what she does and then upcharges you and doesn't tell you. She has a price sheet, but that's a lie. You won't know this until its too late and you get the bill. She waited til I left, and gave my husband the bill. He paid in good faith because he didn't know she was overcharging. Its long and involved but that's what she did. Took the money and wouldn't return any of our phone calls. Not smart business in a small town. Both Mason Creek, and Linda's Party Rental...NOT RECOMMENDED!
