You know how I get…


Since I was a boy I have always been a passionate person. My mom would say. "You know how he gets..." Until recently I would be offended by that, but not too long ago I realized something. What my mom and other family members are refering to is just how passionate I can get about some things.


My photography is one of those I am passionate about. I have put a lot heart into what I do. Not to mention the blood, sweat, tears, frostbite, broken bones... and there was this one time I accidentally set myself on fire, all for a photograph. I have stood in a blizzard with a 102 degree fever. Why? Because it was the big game, and I was going to get something good.


I have got to do some wonderful things. I have been inside burning buildings with firefighters, and I have photographed the President. I watched Dale Earnhardt talking to Richard Petty at Indianapolis Speedway in the garages before the Brickyard 400 the year he was killed at Daytona. I was hit by a stray pass by Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning. I had the bruises to prove it. I have watched people overcome the tragedy of death and destruction all while I was working as a photojournalist. During that time my images have appeared in publications all over the world.


I never would have accomplished any of this if it was not my passion for telling the story. I traded that in to tell the ultimate story. I now tell the story of love for people. I can not think of a better story to tell. There is nothing more wonderful than the look of the bride and groom as they lock eyes, as the doors swing open, and they see each other standing there about to make the biggest decisions of their lives.


Am I passionate about it? You bet I am. I love to get to know my clients, and each story I get the opportunity to tell is unique. This is the best job I have ever had. I am proud to be a wedding photojournalist. I hope I can be your photographer for your big day!
